After rebuilding the steering box on this first thing after I bought it, I had started digging the money pit. I am an aircraft techinician so I always notice this and that and cant leave it alone. Since then I was finally able to drive it around the yard and the steering felt decent until it started to bind up. Removed and disassemble steering box again and found the lower bearing all smashed and race broken. I ordered a new bearing/race and am now trying to put this thing back together and its getting the best of my patience. Yes, I did watch the video and read, but every single time I tighten the steering shaft bolts down, it binds up. I have all the shims on it. Also, what position should the steering shaft bearing be in, the bottom, middle or towards the top? This is killing me.
