L185 Restoration Questions

I am in the process of restoring a 2 wheel drive L185. Picked it up a few years ago and finally have the time to make it to look like it runs. While mechanically sound I don't believe it has ever been repainted. So this winter's project is repainting it. I did strip down the tractor a lot more than what was shown in the rattle can series so it has taken a little more than weekend to complete.

As I am starting reassembly I have a few questions.

1. The brake pedals were originally yellow and I would like to keep them that way. What is a yellow that matches?

2. Is there a label kit for rebadging the tractor or do I have to purchase each label/decal separately?

3. While I have the dash off I would like to add the provisions for hazard lights. I am having trouble finding the correct part numbers. My confusion is naming I believe. For example, in the parts book I find a "Flasher Unit" and "Assy Switch" but no reference to the word "hazard". I initially thought those were the correct parts until looking in my operator's manual at the wiring diagram. The wiring diagram shows an optional "Flasher Unit" and "Flasher Switch" that connect to combination position and flasher lights on each side of the tractor. Looking at the switch wiring seems to indicate these components are for turn signals. Another set of optional components lists an inline fuse, "Hazard Unit", "Hazard Switch" and "Hazard Indicator Lamp" that connect to "Hazard Lamps". I want to add the latter.

So that is the long way to ask if anyone knows the part numbers for the components I need to purchase for adding hazard lights.

Thank you for the help.

I have a L185 that I have done a lot of work to. The pedal color has been different colors on every machine I had had so I can not help you there. The labels have to be bought individually, most if not all are still available. For the hazards take a look at the Kubota diagrams for an L235. It is the same dash panel as the L185 and has flashers.
Enjoy the restoration journey.

Here is a list of most (if not all) of the labels that go on the L185F.

If you go to my photo album there is a picture of all of these labels.

I think I am on the home stretch with restoration activities but I am having some label troubles. I can't seem to find some part numbers and I didn't see a match on Russell's spreadsheet or in his photo gallery.

Does anyone know part numbers for the following?
1. Right fender - Diff lock label (in 3 different languages). White background with blue letters and on the vertical portion of the fender.

Left fender -
2. "L - N - H" label (for the high/low range select). It is arc shaped and on the vertical portion of the fender.
3. "Cleaning the Oil Filter - After 300 hours of operation (for the first time 50 hours operation) disassemble the filter and clean it. Remove the cover and then withdraw the cartridge, wash the components in kerosene or diesel fuel for cleaning. Negligence of this care will shorten life of hydraulic system and cause various troubles." The bottom right corner of the label has a picture showing where the hydraulic filter is located. I didn't see a p/n on the label.
4. Can't make out what it says. It was next to the label above (3) and on the top of the fender. It looks to be a table. The only words I can make out are "Gear Oil" and "SAE". I think I can make out a portion of the p/n - 3_ _ _ _-2_48_.

Thanks for the help.

Here is the label for the #3 request on filter service. The part number shownon this is not available in the USA parts boks that I can find. This is from a thread by Service Department Vic (I think). Perhaps get it made a a printer or decal shop (on line)??

From memory some of the ones (#1 and #2) you mention are for "non-USA" tractors from the parts manual I have a hard copy of but you may be able to get them from Messicks.

Russell, by chance do you have the part numbers for them?

It took a few days to come in to the dealer but I did order the label referenced in #3. Only had to change the last digit to a "0". It is on the tractor now and looks good.

In case it may help others. The p/n for the label referenced in #4 was 35170-21480. It is a table and appears to be for L185s and L245s.
