Looking to buy a box blade for my L1801.
5 foot king kutter (used) is $800
4 foot Land Pride (new) is $900

Who is running a 5 footer with similar size tractor?

I would just go with the 5 footer. Four footer wouldn't clear the tires. Just take lighter bites with the box blade :D

Hi Meanjean, I bought as 5ft. box blade from Princess Auto last fall for less than $400 on sale. They had to bring it in from Saskatoon and didn't charge for that either. I made a slight adjustment on the top link arms (drilled 2 -3/4" holes) to change the angle more and it works fine for me. Hope this helps you Barry

I have a L185DT and I run a 5 foot box blade on mine with no problems. As mentioned, you just have to take small bites at a time but mine handles the 5 footer just fine. I have used mine to dig a little pond with out at our place. Took quite a while doing it but was a fun project and the little D185 just chugged right along!

Removed the box blade safely first thing this morning. Had it hooked up 20 minutes later. I spend about 30 minutes going up and down the driveway trying out my new toy and it's amazing how much better the driveway looks already.

Congrats on the new toy. I predict the boxblade will continue to discover jobs it needs to do. I know my D185 is constantly finding stuff to do at our place.
