Hi all, I am new to this site and new to owning a Kubota. I don’t have much of an idea of what I’m looking for on these machines in terms of parts replacements. I have an old L1802DT and the seals are gone within the cylinder for the bucket lift for the front end loader. It’s got so much bypass it can’t even lift the bucket up with minimal weight on it. Where am I able to find an aftermarket seal rebuild kit for these cylinders. I don’t particularly feel like spending 300 AUD at the dealership for these seals. Thanks in advance

I think I would test pump pressure before jumping to a conclusion.

Kinda skipped that part when I realised I could pick the whole machine up when I strap the lift arms down and just tilt the bucket forwards
There is a simple and definitive way to test the cylinders.
  1. Remove the pins from the rod ends.
  2. Disconnect base end hose at the loader valve. If the hose does not have a quick coupler on it plug/cap hose.
  3. Start tractor, set engine speed to ~2000 RPM, and move control lever to retract both rods
  4. Continue to hold lever in retract position.
  5. If a cylinder is leaking the rod will extend

A hydraulic repair shop should be able to get you new seals.

I suggest that you consider buying a complete new cylinder set. It may be cheaper.
