I have a L175 and just put in a new battery. When I turn the key and hit the starter I sometimes get a quick turn but most times get nothing. Is there an easy way to get it started or diagnose the problem? Most of the gauges do not work on the dash either.

Let's start with the basics.
1. Clean the battery and terminal end post with a wire brush.

2. Go to the negative end and and trace it to the frame and check to make sure it is tighten, clean and all paint and rust have been wire brushed off.

3. Place the new battery on a battery charger overnight and completely charge the new battery.

4. Go down to the starter and remove the nut and clean the starter contact and the ends of the cable that connect to the starter

5. There is a gray plastic cover on the dash on the left hand side with a black plastic nut on it. Remove the cover and check all the fuses and replace any that are corroded or broken, be careful handling the fuse as they are glass and wear gloves to protect your hands from broken glass, also clean the contacts prior to installing new fuses.

6. Try starting the battery after the charging and cleaning of the contacts and post back your results.
