I am a little concerned and a little confused?

My transmission input shaft, both the Old and New, Do Not go into the flywheel.
There is only about 5/16" of material that could go into the "non-existant" pilot bearing.
And the hole in the flywheel is too small to accept even the shaft only,
even if the shaft was long enough to reach the flywheel.

I have done a tremendous amount of clutches in my time and never seen this.
So, Is this normal for these models?

I looked on-line at clutch kits and none seem to come with a pilot bearing so....
I am assuming this is the way of the world for this model?
But I did see one seller selling a pilot / release bearing kit?

Also looked at the parts list(s) and see no reference to a pilot bearing.

More curious than anything , the old shaft was factory, I am 99.9% sure.

Yes it's right no pilot bearing/bushing.
The reason for this is the transmission input / clutch shaft has a front and rear support bearing.
Very few transmission designs have this style of input shaft, as it's a poor design prone to problems. ;)

This saved me a ton of research as I was just looking for that answer. One of the fingers broke off of my pressure plate and am in the process of replacing it now. Great site.
