I am submitting two pictures of the forks of my L1500dt and want to know if anyone can tell me if the center fork is not supposed to move back and forth. The two outside forks move back and forth to the stops, but the center one, even though is has a spring and a ball like the other two, the center fork won't move. I have even removed the ball and springs, but the center fork still doesn't move back and forth. Also one of the cylinders on top, with the long spring was depressed and frozen, I think that I can take care of that. Can any one help? Bob.

OK, I answered my own question. What I did was mount the gear shift levers on the fork casting. The center fork does indeed move, I just didn't have enough leverage without the lever. One of the fork pistons with the long spring was frozen, so I took the pins out, removed the fork and ground the hole so that the piston was freed up, so that works. So far everything is fine, I hope. Bob.
