L1500DT No Reverse

I just got a L1500DT that has no reverse.
I have PM'd Daren Todd to see about getting a set of manuals.

The previous owner suspected a gear?
I think otherwise. Shiftfork?

Any ideas before I tear into it, hopefully will have manuals.

Just went through the same issue. When you shift into reverse, what happens? Grinding? Starts to move and pops out? Acts like neutral? I should be able to give you an idea based those.
