L1500 question

Hey everybody im a newb dont even have a tractor yet but im looking at a l1500 that from what i have read is a gray market its 2wd and has no implements and needs the steering box rebuilt maybe replaced and its in pieces but what i was wondering is what you guys thought it was worth its pretty rough ill check back in later tonight and yall have a really nice group here !

Hey Simpleman, I have a L1500, got the little beast a year ago and LOVE it. I am on it every weekend it seems i keep 4 arces mowed and 1/4 mile of driveway and dirt road leveled. I paid 500.00 for it unloaded it replaced the steering box for 325.00 replaced belt and hoses. and performed all the maintance item service Vic recom. so i probably have a 1000 in it and it is the best 1000 i have spent in many years. Thats awesome bamabrian this one i have found is gonna need what you done to yours and probably some more but i think i can get it for about 250.00 maybe less if im lucky gonna be alot of firsts for me first tractor first diesel about time im 40 years old lol thanks for the input ill be on here alot im sure.

Haha thanks vic just got off the phone with the guy its a done deal gonna pick it up thursday afternoon for $200.00!!!! im happy as a fat kid eating cake!!!!

For $200, you should be eating more than cake! Nice find. Whatever questions you have, somebody on this site will either have done it or know someone who has, it's like a constantly edited encyclopedia, this guys are amazing and will point you in the right direction...

Thanks dicksnyder i think im gonna love it here. i have already been reading the how to posts very informative and helpful. its also great to see the pictures of everyones orange i think i officially have the fever!!!
