Howdy
i think it is time to change axle fluid.; tiny leak under right knuckle.

The book says EITHER use UDT-2 or 80 or 90 oil.

Will it matter what I replace it with?

Will a little residual UDt-2 Or Oil or vice versa cause issues?

Even though the manual says either, is one better?

Thanks

I have a little story.
I used to own a b26xx that developed a very slight front axle leak after about 500 hrs.. Dealer said before I bring it in, try switching out oil with heavier 80w90.
I did. The leak went away. And I never did have to take it in for a repair.
If I remember right two plugs is all it took to drain the front axles. Refilled with the heavier oil until it started showing at the top fill hole. It never leaked again until we sold the little tractor.
I think the manual said synthetic 80w90 so I just followed what the book said

Thank you… the oil is probably cheaper than the super UDT-2.
