I have an L 3130 series tractor with manual shift. I has recently began shutting off and when it stalls I can here either the relay click or the fuel shut off solenoid click. I suspected maybe a faulty seat switch and so I downloaded the manual and there is nothing in it about the seat switch, testing, or depicted in the wiring diagram. Anyone have similar issue or knowledge?

Are you certain you downloaded the Work Shop Manual?

The Technical manual sold by Kubota has wiring diagrams and how to test each switch. I know first hand the L3130 WSM covers this.

WSM (Please verify it is the correct and most recent version before ordering)

yes, and even the wiring diagram doesn't show the seat switch, nor does the fuel stop solenoid have any influence form the instrument panel (logic). So frustrating, as I am a repair shop owner with all the experience to diagnose it if I just had adequate information. The wiring diagram also doesn't show the shuttle lever having any influence over the cranking circuit but i know it does cuz it has to be in neutral to start.

Being a repair shop owner you should have an ohmmeter. You can use that to check the seat switch. You can also check to see if the seat mount is secure, especially where it pivots when you flip it up. Does the engine only stall when using the PTO? Are you traveling on a rough field? Making a turn? The more information you can provide the greater the likelihood of relevant suggestions.

So the seat switch has three wires and there is no continuity between any 2 of the 3 wires with the lever down or up. so it isn't simply passing the completed circuit thru and interrupting it like you would expect a 2 wire switch to do.
It only shuts down when its in forward or reverse. If i hold the clutch down put in forward and set up off seat the tractor also cuts off by design even though the wiring diagram doesn't show the neutral switch involved at all in the circuit to the shut down solenoid.
I haven't needed to use the pto so that hasn't had any bearing on it so far.
Today I found the solenoid and traced the wires back to the left side of tractor where I could open the harness and access the two wires much easier. I confirmed that both wires are fed by the same accessory position of the ignition switch and that I am losing power to the shut down solenoid when it shuts off. I had the wiring circuits in bedded in my memory so once I saw that happen I decided to check on both sides of the 5 amp shut down fuse. Well first i pulled the fuse and though it wasn't green i decided to push and pull it in a few times to make sure there was a good connection to the spades and before going thru the trouble of un-mounting and trying to access both sides of the fuse I just tried to get it to stall again and it never would. I then left the fenders off and used it for about an hour to see if it was truly fixed and it did nothing wrong that whole time. So as for the seat switch or shut down solenoid that I kinda thought was going to be the issue so far it is looking like a fuse contact blade issue. Ill add more later when i feel more sure its completely fixed. thanks to all who have aided so far. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Ok folks, its a wrap. Not all issues are component failures but can sometimes be just a connectivity issue or poor connection like in my case with the fuse itself not making good contact with fuse holder terminals. Thanks to all who gave advise and stay safe.
