THe foot pedal on the right is for the Auxilary- the one on the left is go faster- the swivel-swing valve is electrical servo so would flip the left controler from swivel to swing- just need to find the button
i don’t recall a button on my KX41-2.
The right foot pedal is used to angle the boom, and the swing operation works the same all the time.
There is a hinged cover over the pedal that you lift, and you push what is under it on the right edge, or left, to change the boom angle. Then you use swing and other functions as you normally would if the boom were not angled.
edit: yours being a bit larger model in the same series might be different I suppose…
2nd edit: I could not remember what the top function of the right pedal was. I remember now you are correct about that, but if you lift the hinged cover, you will see the part under it will rock left to right with a foot push. That is what controls the boom position on my KX...
3rd edit: When I got my old excavator six months ago, I thought it would be used similar to my backhoe. But I soon realized this is not the case. The boom is positioned where you need it to be for whatever the circumstances are, and the swing is always used to move the full bucket of spoils to wherever you want to dump them. I get the impression you may be thinking as I did at first. In reality, the boom swings (by itself) very little on an excavator from what I have seen in my limited use.
