Hi All, First time post but been reading the interesting stuff here for years and have found just about everything is accurate and helpful.
I have recently scored an older Kubota WG750G (gas) engine for the fire wood processor I am building but would like to get some info on servicing etc. I also need to source a starter which is about as easy as finding chicken teeth here in NZ. I think the engine was in an early model Grasshopper mower, somewhere around the late 80's maybe but cant find the engine number to start tracking the right unit. Will have to scrape the paint off and see what I can find
Does anyone have a manual or any info that might help? I can probably get an aftermarket from one of the tractor supply places here if i can track down some info but without that it is pretty hard to source these older model parts here without being able to give the young kid behind the counter some numbers to punch into the black box.
Small industrial motors are hard to come by here and the cost of small diesels is very high. The processor is only for my own firewood and will probably do no more than 8 - 10 cords a year so fuel use will be minimal and with only doing that amount the difference between diesel and gas isn't going to be much over the year. I am not getting any younger and the body is starting to pack it in so I want to get myself set up for my upcoming dotage so I can stay on my small property(abut 20 acres) as long as I can and continue to live the quiet life.
Would appreciate any help anyone could give me with info or a manual.
Thanks

Thanks Wolfman, It looks very similar at first glance. I will have a closer look tomorrow and do a couple of measurements but it is looking good so far. I appreciate the quick response and the expert knowledge. It will be good to get the project moving in the right direction.

Might go to a Grasshopper dealer, if they are in your area, and inquire there. If you have some good clear pictures you could forward I could maybe help. I think I have a couple Grasshopper manuals. GH had a 725 model, which was a "7" series frame and 25HP engine. It use that engine.
