hey folks,

I want to pull the trigger on the kubota backhoe thumb for my BX25D but my dealer here wants 500 for the thing. I see Bxpanded sells theirs online for 300 ish. Any reason not to go with the cheaper one here? Thanks in advance for any advice!!

OP is north of the border so his price would be higher.

My dealer also quoted $500 CDN ( $400 USD) so right in the ball park.

The B Xpanded looks like a quality product. Haven't used it but would probably try that if I were in the market.

I have the Kubota thumb on mine . I really can't compare the two having not used the other brand you mentioned . But I can tell you that I'm VERY glad that I have one . Makes picking up brush , logs, rocks so easy . The Kubota one is very well built and thought out and very strong . I would say money well spent . I do know the other brand is quality but didn't care for the looks of it or how it mounted. The Kubota thumb was made for our backhoes and looks like it . But with either you will be glad you got one .

You'll be happy with the Kubota thumb . Takes awhile to figure the best way to use it . I've found for brush I'll extend about half way out . For picking up logs while cutting wood I usually just move it down one spot , maybe two . Sure makes cutting wood easier .
