I have plenty of the Super UDT 2 for my kubota, I purchased a Gravely zero turn that I was going to top off the res for the trans. The owners manual specs 15W-50 synthetic hydralic oil, I checked the Kubota hydralic oil container, it doesn't state a viscosity rating. Does anyone have any info if the Kubota hydralic oil is compatable ?
SUDT2 is a Universal Tractor Transmission Oil (UTTO) formulated for use in hydraulic systems, transmissions, final drives. axles, steering and wet brakes used in common sump tractors.
Kinematic viscosity @100C: 8.1 cSt
Kinematic viscosity @40C: 37 cSt
Brookfield viscosity @-40C: 1600 cP
Viscosity index: 199
Engine oil viscosity grade: SAE 5W20
Gear oil viscisity grade: SAE 70W80
API gear oil service category GL-4
SUDT2 is specifically formulated with an elevated ability to absorb free water for improved rust and corrosion protection and even among UTTOs its somewhat unique. John Deere Hygard Lo-vis (J20D) and CNH Ultraction SSL (MAT 3541) are very similar (dare I say functionally equivalent?) formulations.
