Hi, have an old B20 with TL420 loader. Now got a workshop manual (tradebit.com do a cheap download of a pdf) and it shows the loader controls. all nice and simple apart from the one control, forward twice the distance marked as "float". Can anyone enlighten me as to what this is as my old iseki does not have that function.

thanks

Some controls have a detent built into them that will keep a lever in a particular position. On loaders, it's intended to provide a position that allows you to keep the bucket level while scooping up dirt, for example.

It seems that yours does not have this feature. You can test it by lowering the bucket to ground level and lining it up parallel to the ground, then pushing the lever all the way forward. If it goes a little farther and 'sticks', you've got 'float'. Otherwise, you're in the same (Ku)bota as me. <sob>
