You can use a pair of channel lock style pliers.
Thank you for your suggestion; that's what I did when I changed my Ego trimmer head to the universal trimmer head (recently) because it's cheaper. However, with the Ego, there is more room under the trimmer head, so I used another wrench to hold it tight. There isn't much room under the grinder blade.

When I used an adjustable wrench to grip it, it spun freely.
What can I do to hold it tightly? The current blade is a cheap steel cutting blade, and it's so thin that I tried to grab it, but it won't work.

I had time today and wanted to get it done, but it's missing the removal tool. I didn't want to leave the house and waste a couple of hours just for one thing. When I'm out, I will take care of my errands, which means I will buy this part the next time I'm out.

There will be some sort of button on the top or side of the grinder that you press in that will keep the head from spinning while you loosen the nut in the center.

You need to get a largish pair of channel lock pliers or similar pliers to grad the round thing (the part the regular tool bites into) and loosen it while you hold in that button.

You do not not need to reach in between the cutting wheel and the grinder with the pliers, rather, grab in from on the other side of the cutting wheel.

I don't use an angle grinder that often and forgot about the button to lock it. This is my 2nd time using the angle grinder. Thank you for answering my question and helping me solve my problem.

Sorry for going off topic again, but since I’ve mentioned my truck and the so-called “Genius Thieves,” I just needed to vent.

Today, without any appointments, I planned to drive my truck because I bought roadside assistance and would have time if it broke down.
About two weeks ago, I shared that thieves stole my truck key, which I had hanging on a neck chain, and tossed it onto the dashboard. They stole the truck key after I removed all other keys from the truck, leaving only the truck key.
On Sunday two weeks ago, I took a picture of the distributor for someone who asked about it.
Then I managed to start the truck but didn’t drive because I want to wait until I purchased roadside assistance.
I’ve stayed home and handled tasks, only going out for errands or doctor appointments, avoiding driving the truck due to uncertainty about its condition.
(Even when it wouldn’t start—no noise, no crank, no dashboard lights—I suspected it could be sabotage by the thieves, though it was just a thought.)

Here’s what happened today:
first, I noticed the padlock was installed in the opposite direction from how I usually installed it. Second, the ignition was locked and wouldn’t turn, even for the police could not get it to turn. Third, the brake pedal felt so soft, suggesting tampering with the brake system.
Fourth, my original ignition with key was missing also which I also hide it, (I had replaced myself after learning from YouTube).
Fifth, the new key door lock for my ’94 Chevy truck was also gone, I bought it with the ignition at the same time and never installed it.
Sixth, the thieves have all my truck keys, both old and new one, plus a second set of keys and remote for my 2nd vehicle.

I’m frustrated because many people don’t believe me. I posted about the water bills on the Nextdoor app, and it’s possible the thieves saw it too. I stopped responding since everyone kept saying it was just a leak & other things. I told them that I know the plumbing system and how to solder, and I recently realized all my plumbing tools are missing. After a couple of days, I saw my post had been deleted from the platform.

I called to file a police report, but the officer said he’s been to my house before and knows the history. I’m trying to find a place that does DNA testing for criminal cases, not for ancestry or paternity. I searched online but couldn’t find one; the one I did find seemed fake. I really need help with the thefts, but the police won’t do anything—they just give me a report number, which isn’t a police report.
Imagine living alone with your belongings disappearing every week with no proof because I never caught them on camera and the police refusing to do anything. He claims they can look into it for a year's worth of records, though it’s been happening for 20 years.

The day I learned my Nextdoor post was deleted because people made mean comments, that night I was awakened by a noise in my bedroom. It wasn’t a mouse; I’ve heard it before. I once placed the plastic grocery bags from the hallway into my bedroom, also in my bedroom. When someone walked, it would make noise. Later (long after I placed it), I removed the hallway bags but still had some in my room.
That night I was awake because of this noise again. Lying still in the dark, I didn’t see anything but still heard the noise. The next night, I walked in a toe-stepping pattern and heard the exactly same sound, which made me believe someone was in my bedroom, invisible. I know my story sounds unbelievable, but please recommend a reliable place for criminal DNA testing and a retired detective who turned into a private investigator who might be able to help me. Also, write the names of the real crime TV shows that solved all those cases, full name, contact info if you have it since there are so many people with the same first name & last name.

Did you see my point?
1. the key got stolen,
2. then my padlock was installed in the wrong direction
3. my ignition key is locked. I can't move or turn the key.

I know this time the thieves sabotaged me 1000%

Since the ignition is locked, what should or can I do?
Oh, I think they disabled the 24/7 AvertX cam that points to the truck. They disabled 3 cams, I didn't have time to check it out yet.
I told you they are geniuses in every field.
The padlock is Abloy, I have total 7 or 8 Abloy padlocks, I have to tie all the keys that I used to my belt purse so I would not loose it.
If I'm crazy, how can I manage my daily life & manage to use all these keys for different locks?

On the ignition being locked…

The times I have not been able to get the ignition key to turn on, it was due to the steering system putting too much pressure on the ignition switch for it to turn. I had to forcibly turn the steering wheel and get the key to move out of the lock position then release the steering wheel. I don’t recall which way I had to turn the wheel or how I knew which way to turn the wheel but it always released the key switch to turn.

Good luck.

I had that problem before; I don't remember which vehicle it was. I had to twist the steering wheel really hard to loosen it in order to turn the key.

But this time it was locked because the thieves sabotaged my truck (I know the difference). The police officer also tried, and he couldn't get it to work either, so it's not a steering wheel issue. The right pedal is also much softer than before. There may be more issues that I don't know about yet.

They disabled three of my 24/7 AvertX cameras:
#1 - the one that pointed at this truck,
#2 - the one inside the garage, and
#3 - the one that points to the backyard, which they like to access because it's behind the house & covers the basement door, side door (house), garage door. & the detached building. I knew that they disabled these 3 cams for a while but never had a chance to correct it, plus I never caught them on tape anyway.

I have attached a picture showing how I used an extra padlock to secure my truck. I did the same to all of my exterior doors (because they stole 10 spare keys of the deadbolt & 1 padlock of Bowley Locks, check their website what the key looks like). I went in from the back to the front; this time, they went in from the front to the back.
This was not their first time stealing items from inside my truck. It has happened so many times, although I never caught them on tape. However, I know when my belongings are missing, which happens quite often.

I tried to use an adjustable wrench to remove the blade on the angle grinder, but it didn't work for me.

I didn't get anything done today because I tried to help a young guy who has been homeless for two weeks now. I called a few people and also posted about it on Nextdoor, where several people shared resources. I forwarded that information to him and gave him some additional advice. That took me more than half the day. Then I was busy dealing with the locked ignition key issue and trying to file a police report. The officer was not helpful, which added a few more hours to my frustration with the theft problems & made me feel down. I hope the thieves don't know that I used this forum, or they might know, as they are geniuses in every field. They know where I hide everything.

In that case, sounds like you have no option other than buying the correct tool.

Pic #3224-3225 - First, I used a metal grinding wheel, but it didn't work out, so I used a paint-removal grinding wheel.
Pic #3227-3229 - Then I used a mini grinding tool to remove the close-up areas. I guess this is the best I can do.
I don't think the other 2 guys who used my welder did any sanding before they welded it.
Now I have to find someone to weld it.

Don't be. Ask around.

Also consider asking high school shop/ welding classes
