Going through the process of getting front and rear ballast weights for my BX. Looking at options from the Kubota dealer, Good Works, and Heavy Hitch. I'm fairly set on getting the Versa Bracket from GWT for the rear, and just a standard bolt-on front bracket from the Kubota dealer. Thing is, I'd like the suitcase weights to be compatible on both ends so I can just get 8 of them and use them on either end as needed (I think 5 max for the front, and all 8 on the rear if needed).
I put in an order with the Kubota dealer already for the front bracket and (5) 55lb weights which I could up to 8 if needed. However, they are on backorder for an unknown time frame and there is also almost no info online about how these weights engage with the bracket. I have seen pics of some sort of cantilever engagement on Kubota weights, but these also seem to be discontinued. All the other weights I see online from GWT or HH have deep slots for engagement.
So my question is, will these Kubota weights fit properly to the GWT or HH rear hitch brackets? Anyone using them like this for front and rear?
I'm considering cancelling the order through the dealer and just getting everything through GWT or HH, but not sure if I can get a front weight bracket from them. Thanks for any help.
