Kubota OEM Grille guards 2022

I just saw a Messicks video made a few months ago that shows Kubota is making a factory grill guard for the L Series. According to the video it will be @ half the cost of after market guards. We will have to wait and see and compare the price and quality. One thing I do like is that they have guards for the sides too. One think I don't like is the holes seem plenty large enough to let a stick through.

If they had asked me I would have suggested skip the pretty and make things a lot stouter. That goes for the OEM frame as well. It did not take me long to twist the frame and badly dent up the very expensive 11ga laser cut aftermarket guard I bolted to it. Everything looked pretty out of the box - not so much now.

I have already fitted grille guards to my L3901 and MX5800, on my L series I purchased a 2 piece Loan Performance guard that included their lower chin strap guard, the lower guard protects the area below the grill, this is a real necessity when you consider woodland use.

Loan Performance have now adapted the chin strap guard to become a chain box guard. It has the ability to carry a chain at all times, I think this is a great innovative solution from Lown Performance and will be reaching out to them to see if I can retrofit a chain box guard to my tractors.

There are many choices in grill guards but Lown should be supported for their innovative solutions for providing a better level of protection.

The original chin strap on the Loan L01 grille guard easily holds 20' of 3/8" chain. I have two 10' chains with grab hooks and a couple shorter lengths of 5/16" in mine right now.

Dan,
I appreciate your comment and look forward to using mine in that way. I just saw a photo on another post here this evening about the chain box guard and think the chain box model is a great idea, I was not creative enough to work out that the current chin strap guard could be used this way. There are certain accessories that just make life so much easier or convenient. In this case the Lown chin strap provides great protection and doubles as a chain box.

I just went to their website and I like what I see, however, they don't make anything for tractors other than the L and M series tractors. Not one item for the BX tractors. I know that there are others in this market, but there is room for another innovator.
