Wanting to trade in BX2230 mower + loader for new BX2380 mower + loader. Current price is roughly Kubota MSRP + freight +setup +tire loading. How much should be added for shipping (midwest), setup and loading tires? Out the door price eats away at the rebate incentives.

The one and only time I purchased from a dealer the out the door cost was LESS than MSRP.

I used Kubota MSRP from there build your tractor web site, then dealer adds freight and setup with fluid in tires. $1388 more than MSRP. Rebates are $1000. It seams like they are adding extra cost to take away my rebates so I don't really see incentives for me. I Just want to pay a fair price.

I wasn't charged setup or freight on the invoice. If they did, it was buried in the overall price somewhere. Filled tires was $400.

You will do better if you sell your old machine privately since when the dealer sells it he has to add in a profit over what he gave you for it. Usually, you will have no problem finding a buyer for the machine, and you will get more for it in a private sale than you will in a trade.
When it comes to buying new, shop around to find the best deal. Keep in mind that spring isn't that far away, and right now the dealers are willing to make better deals on spring equipment while there is snow on the ground than when the grass is turning green. Also, at the first of the year, the prices are going up again. Rumor is 6-8% so inventory in stock now will sell out quickly. Once the new prices go into effect any inventory remaining in stock will go up in price as if it had come in after the price increase. In 8 more days, the days will start to get longer, so spring is only about 97 days away. You snooze you lose.

I my case I am really lucky. I have 4 different Kubota dealer's ( all different owners) that are within 30 miles ( I live smack dab in the center and they are literally N, E, S & W of me).
I sold my B 7510 in October 2021 and ordered my LX2510HST 9/10/21 used the equine discount ( no longer as good as it was in '21). I paid 83% of MSRP for the LX I ordered with the oversized R4 tires both remotes & 3rd function. Cost $205 to have the tires loaded with RimGuard ( I included that in my 83% price the only thing not included was the 6% sales tax). Had to wait till December '21 for the tractor & options to come in. But that was a small price to pay for the discount. Selling the old one made it so I didn't have to finance the new one. And since you can't get the discounted financing with the equine discount that worked out for me. All that said the price range from the 3 dealers I got quotes from the spread for the same tractor was over $6,500 cheapest to most expensive deal.

It was.

Local dealer "hides" freight, set-up and delivery charge in invoice.

They also charge $125/hr for set-up/delivery and refuse to itemize invoices.

It's a sellers market and they can do what they will.

Can't help with prices but curious why 'loaded' tires since you have a MMM ? Extra weight on the grass isn't a good thing. A removable 'weight box' or 'carry all' should be better, only put it on for loader operations.

I recently got quotes from 2 different dealers to order a MX5400. The quotes were within $150 dollars of each other with basically no discount from the “build your own” site. Neither dealer would budge on price.
I tried to get a hard copy of the WSM thrown in and that was a no go.
Yesterday I bought one from a different dealer that had one on the lot. He was right in line with the other 2 dealers and wouldn’t budge on price either, even with a decent inventory on his lot. Although this was the only open station MX5400 he had.
It actually cost me more than the dealers who were going to order due to the added labor of them having to add 3 rear remotes compared to the factory installation.
Weird buying experience, it almost seemed like the dealers were all in cohorts to keep profits at a maximum.

well at least you GOT your tractor !!!! Most who order wait a very, very long time for theirs.
See if you can get a 'flashdrive PDF' of the WSM. That way you can print out the few pages you might need and get ONLY them oily dirty ...

Makes a difference on where you live. Only one Kubota dealer within 150 miles of me. I "built" my M7060HDC12 on line, then went to the dealer to get an actual quote, hoping to get a good discount since I would be paying cash. Nope! When the dealer worked up his quote the prices matched exactly what I saw on the Kubota web site.

Selleres market indeed! I had to go pick up some more snowblower auger shear pins from my dealer, and I've never seen so few tractors on their lot. Maybe 6 units, and all sub-compacts like the BX23s.
And Keystone Ag Kubota is not a small K dealer, but the wind is sure blowing through their lot freely lately.

I was at MB Tractor in South Windsor CT yesterday, and they had a full showroom and lots of tractors, etc outside. Really nice people to deal with and they keep their word when they sell you something. A friend ordered an RTV from them and the price quoted was $20,000, and when it came in a little more than a year later, they delivered it for the quoted price. He didn't give them a deposit in advance, just a handshake deal.

A dealer I talked to today said that previously prices were locked in as that was Kubota’s policy.
He said Kubota is no longer locking in prices , thus price increases are getting passed on to the customers.
Is this BS on the dealers part to increase profits…….Who knows.

Possibly it has something to do with the dealer if they are locked in prices or not. MB Tractor has 2 stores in Massachussettes, 1 in Connecticut, 3 in New Hampshire, and 3 in Maine, and every one of them is a huge facility and well stocked. They also have the ability to move inventory from one location to another to meet the customer's needs.

Have never been to or bought from MB, but have bought from Chappell tractor (3 stores in NH)
My one purchase (bucket) from Chappell was a very straightforward/good experience.

Chappell Tractor is a great tractor dealer, albeit a bit smaller than MB Tractor. Chappell didn't have the item that I needed, so I started searching and decided to try MB, and they had the item in stock in one of their stores. Had it transferred from store to store till it got to the store closest to me. The interesting thing is that no other dealer, including Messicks had the item in stock and couldn't tell me when it would arrive. The consensus was most likely in June when the snow was gone.
