I just recently had to put in a clutch in this M8580 tractor with a cab with the IC shuttle shift about 114 hours ago. Now its out again. It looks like the clutch is slipping because there wasn't enough free play in the clutch pedal adjustment. Before taking it apart there was only about an inch of free play in the clutch pedal. I got the tractor split and checking the linkage. It looks like the linkage is maxed out and if i would put a new clutch in. It would be doing the same thing. Has anyone else ran across a problem like this before where you couldn't get enough adjustment out of the cable or linkage? I know it will take the clutch out again if i put another clutch in and don't fix this problem because I wont be able to adjust the cable at all. You can see in the photos where the linkage is maxed out.

My comments are from looking at the WSM not from personal knowledge.
I see two places where the clutch pedal free play can be adjusted but you are only mentioning the cable.

So when I adjust the clutch rod so there is little thread in the yoke, it makes it a lot worse. When I screw the clutch rod all the way in, there is still very little adjustment you can do with the clutch cable.
