Before buying oil, check the front axle fluid specification in the LX2610 operator’s manual. Kubota UDT2 is the safe choice, but any alternative should be specifically approved for that axle application. “Universal” or “UDT compatible” on the label is not enough.

1. Use Kubota fluid or an equivalent that explicitly meets the manual’s requirement. An unapproved substitute may reduce lubrication protection and damage axle components.
2. Drain a small sample. Clear oil is normal. Milky oil, water, metal glitter, or other debris means stop and investigate before refilling, or have a technician assess it.
3. Park the tractor level and refill only to the specified level.

One other place worth checking is https://heavyequipmentfix.com/. Its equipment AI covers repair data, wiring clues, and fault-code information without needing the wording to match exactly.
Did you read the thread? Post #2:

"Page 106 of the operating manual.
• KUBOTA SUPER UDT-2 or SAE 80-SAE 90 gear oil"

There are hundreds of suitable gear oils. Kubota didn't even specify a service category

UDT = Universal Dynamic Tractor oil.

Universal denotes a multi-functional type of tractor oil - Univerasal Tractor Transmission Oil (UTTO). There is no official industry standard for UTTO but John Deere J20C and J20D are effectively the industry standard.

Theres also a class of tractor lubricants called Super Tractor Oil Universal (STOU). Ask your AI bot to explain that in greater detail.
