Not yet, it's really leaking now. I saw another thread that said they will push the seal out, can that be knocked back in without splitting the tractor?
I guess you're talking about where the shaft attaches to the transmission?

My trouble was at the front-end.

If you'll remove the shaft cover, it's easy to see what's goin on. Assuming yours has a cover like mine?

Actually mine is different than yours, doesn't have the same type cover, it has a sealed tube that connects the front diff to the trans housing.

Yes, it can be repaired without splitting. It is not the seal that gets pushed out but the sleeve on the shaft that the seal rides on. You push it back into place and put a spacer on the shaft to hold it in place. Your dealer will be able to look up the service bulletin for you.

Cool, I will check with them and see if they have the bulletin. Any chance you have that in pdf format you could email me?

DAMN somebody had to have been driving that RTV like a daily driver to get 11852 hours on it. I didnt think they've been in production from Kubota that long to get those kind of hours on them.
I've had 4 new RTV900s at my job for about 3 - 4 months and have ~1200 hours on them. So in less than 3 years I'll have around 12000. I think the RTV came out in 2004, so that's plenty of time to accumulate 12K hours.

Other RTV users near me include several airports, universities, city governments and Tropicana (the orange juice people).

So far, I've had a bad temp gauge on one unit, no other problems.
