I need to work on my tractor and I've never put it on the 2-post lift before. It is a Kubota L4330, ~40 hp with 4wd. The Front End Loader (FEL) will be on but no implement (bucket, grapple etc.). The rear tires are filled ~750 lbs of liquid ballast and there are two lead, steel concrete wheel weights of 500 bs. No rear implement.

Good, bad, ugly? Any hints, tips or tricks?

Thanks!

Assuming a 10K or more lift.

If you can get 4 lift points that balance I dont see a problem. Do you really need that much height?

Good point: Atlas 12k lb lift.

At +70 years, I'm done crawling around on the ground.

I think finding 4 points to lift from will be the challenge. I have a Golf 9K lift at work with a turf kit to lift mowers and utility vehicles. Turf kit limits it to 6K I believe. May want to look into something like that for your Atlas.

Front tray is adjustable on the arms, as well as the rear wishbones. That JD wide area mower is the biggest thing I've had on it.

With the basic tractor plus liquid ballast plus wheel weights, I'm at 4701 lbs for the tractor. Add the 1157 lbs for the LA853 FEL, that goes to 5860.

I have one tool like the Turf kit shown above for my Kubota diesel ZTR; I'm not sure I'd trust it for one end of the tractor.

Thats why I said 4 bslanced lift points. Tractors dont lend themselves to that geometry.

Being around lifts daily, i've often wondered how one could even get a tractor on a 2 post.

Ole tractor time with Tim on the youtubes has a lift just like yours to lift his cab john deere. 50 something horse i think.

I have sized it up before though just messin around

Got it on the lift and started lifting it and noticed that the far (non-powered) side safety latch wasn't working. Apparently, I have a problem with the lift I need to fix first.

Atlas knows all about the problem.

Piece of cake:

I was able to tighten every bolt and nut in sight, most importantly, the FEL mounting bolts. My bet is that the vast majority hadn't seen a wrench since either the factory (basic tractor) or the dealer (for the FEL).

I tightened all the bolts associated with both the engine oil and hydraulic oil, but I still have a hydraulic oil leak. It appears to be coming from the front of the front driveshaft:

How hard to remove and service the seals in this thing:

I don't like it either. But the FEL mount in the front is all that's there - you can't lift using the front axle because it's not fixed. And the large rear tires limit how far I can get the lift arms to the rear.

But it worked. I'm going to go and finish it up, then take it down and get back to bushhogging. It's been on the lift for about 4 days now while I did other things; time to finish it.

Thanks,

I must have done something right.

Parked 2 days Before the lift operation:

It appears the front leak has either stopped or at least severely slowed. I still have a leak in the 3 spool RR valve and one hose at the ferrule.

I'll take the win!

Well done sir.

I mean if you "earthquake test" it and follow that off with a "that aint goin nowhere" it actually can't go anywhere.....That's just basic science LOL.

Kind of like after strappin something down....
