Just purchased a 2001 Kubota L4310HST today with a LA681 loader. The tractor looks near new, still has a shine to the paint and only has 376 hours on it. No leaks anywhere and the previous owner just had custom heavy duty hydraulic lines made for the loader. The owner was asking $18,500 and I ended getting him down to $15K...........how did I do?

BTW, new to the forum and excited to be here!

You did fine on the price and time will tell if it runs as good as it looks. Hope you have some great projects for your new toy. Enjoy!

That is a very capable tractor, I also have a Grand L and couldn't be happier..

Have you had a chance to check all the fluids, grease points etc: the care and maintenence of the previous owner will tell you quite a bit...

Welcome to OTT

Nice looking rig, and forgive the dumb question, but what was the reasoning behind upgrading the hydraulic lines (I'm assuming you went to all 1" lines)? The hydraulic pump's rating/capacity is fixed, so how does that translate into a benefit? I was also curious how much that cost you?

I have checked all the fluids and they are all at the right levels and quite clean. I paid attention to where the previous owner had it parked in his garage and there wasn't a drop of fluid on the floor. The previous owner from what I could tell was what I call a "toy tweaker" meaning it looked by his other items in the garage he like to upgrade everything.......so I assume that's the reason for the upgraded hoses.
