Hello

I have a L345Dt and it will not start anymore. When i try to start, it glows, but when i try to engage the starter it blacks out. Then i have to wait a few minutes before i can try again. it goes all black exept accessories like lights, they work as normal. Im not sure if if the starter solenoid engages. Just put in a new battery (new used) i have a feeling that it is not good, and the starter don´t get the amp it needs, but before i get a new one, i try here if anybody have had this trouble before.
Thanx in advance

Assuming that it cranked before the new battery was installed.

Does the new battery work in another vehicle?

Does another battery make the tractor crank?

Have you used jumper cables with another battery? If so, how was the jumper cables attached to the tractor?

If your tractor is wired like original, the crank position is trying to power both the starter and the glow plugs at the same time, so worst condition for the battery. It will probably require a new large Cold Cranking Amp battery and new cables to be installed, that is the usual solution.

Thanks for early replies! :)

the Ground cable from battery to the frame is new. But the rest is original i assume. I have plans to rewire the whole traktor, but i had a hope that i could wait until the summer because of the high frequent need of the traktor and snowblower in the winter.
To answer the other questions i have tried With jumpercables from my car With no luck. As far as i remember the battery is 75 amh and 660 Cca, so if that is in good working condition it should be suffient.
Well, my best hope is to get it started once so i can get it to my heated garage for further troubleshooting, i don’t want to be outside in -25 degrees celcius / -13 degrees farenheit.
Thx again

Make 100% sure the tractor is in neutral and that the stop lever is not engaged.
Set the parking brake, turn the key to run.
Go to the starter and jump from the battery terminal on the starter to the starter solenoid terminal (small wire).
This should get the tractor to crank and run for you.

If you need a wiring diagram there is one in post #27 in this thread

I'm going to venture a guess that the switch plate inside that nippendenso solenoid is pitted where the copper contacts hit it. If you pull the 3 screws out of the triangle shaped cover that plate will fall out along with its return spring. The contact lugs can be seen inside. Clean that plate with something like a wire brush or emery cloth, reassemble it and try it.

if the cable between the tractor battery to starter is 'bad' ,then jumpering a good battery to the tractor battery won't do anything as the cable is 'bad', won't pass current through it.
