For Kubota L305 and L345 parts mainetractors.net may be a source.

Currently they don't list a L305 block but they do show one for an L345 (4cyl).

Edit: - As I finished the post above I realized the L345's engine is 4 cylinders and is very different from the L305's 3-cylinder so the one in Maine would be no help.

Found a listing for a used L305 block here.

How bad is your block? A picture might help get more ideas from members.

Best luck and welcome to the "old Kubota owners" group! ;)

I do have a couple good used blocks. The L295 and L305 are the same engine. I am in central california. Looks like All States AG parts has one. Would be much closer to you. If you can't find one send me a message and we'll see what freight would cost. Good luck in your search.

Maybe like the hole in the block in this thread?

This is a long, long thread but does get around to patching the hole with a patch and epoxy glue.

well, from my personal experience, it's likely that the previous owner opened the case for maintenance or repair purposes... This could be checking the condition of the gears, replacing a seal, or addressing a leak? not so sure. But by the way congratulations! it seems like a really pretty one. Remembering the time when I first bought my old body lol I feel like showing it off to every one of my families and friends.

99% likely the connecting rod is broken and the stump poked a hole in the block. Don't start it again. The broken out pieces they could be brazed back in place - but that would come WAY down the road after finding and fixing what caused the rod to fail - and what else inside the engine needs replacing. To get the pan off on that model, the front axle and bracket have to be taken off.
