When releasing the clutch in any gear, low or high , the tractor lurches, jumps a little when pedal is fully released. If I release it real slow it's ok. Tractor works ok in all gears while in use with no clutch slipping.
Is the jumping just a clutch pedal adjustment or something else with the clutch. The tractor has 1334 hours 2wd. PTO, 3PTH works ok.
thanks

Every tractor Ive ever drove in my life acted just as you described. I really dont think you have a clutch issue. Now if it jumps no matter how slow you release the clutch, then you might need to replace/adjust something. Then again maybe Ive never had a tractor with a good clutch.
The true experts will chime in soon.
Good luck

I'm no expert but all clutches chatter a tiny bit as the slipping stops. There are small coil springs near the center of the clutch hub that soak it up so the operator is usually unaware of it. It could be that your damper springs are rusted or broken so it's a little grabby. Usually not reason enough to split the machine for a new clutch.

That's how it's supposed to work. The same principle applies to cars, trucks, heavy equipment, tractors, etc...basically anything with a manual clutch. If it's released fast, it's going to jerk, or in some cases kill the engine (or burn tires :D)

My Kubota l1500 does not have to be released "real slow". Any vehicle type will jerk if just take your foot off the clutch. Been driving them since the 50's.
The l2650 problem just started. Thought I would ask before attempting to adjust the linkage a little. Other post on the net suggested that but it appeared not too fix their problem.
thanks

Does your clutch pedal feel stiffer than normal? I worked on my neighbors L3600, and the shaft that goes across the bell housing, that moves the throw out bearing in and out was freezing up. His symptoms started like yours, then he would have to pull the clutch pedal out with his toe. Eventually, it was very hard to press clutch. It was so bad, we had to split it, drive out the shaft with a punch and big hammer, then clean and lube the shaft and bell housing pass through. Keep an eye it so that it doesn't become a safety thing hooking up implements.

Thanks for the info. There is not quite 1/2 inch freeplay on the petal. It has always been stiffer than the l1500. The l1500 has less hours however.
It's a dry clutch. Will adjust the clutch a little when the storm clears out.
thanks

Thanks for all the replies. I traded the 2650 for a new used b2320hsd with 132 hours on it with FEL and Ansung tiller. I kept the 60inch rotary cutter I used on the 2650.
