hey guys. Just got my first tractor and trying to figure things out. It's a Brand new L2501. It was delivered last friday so I only got a chance to mess with it for an hour. It had 0.5 on it when they delivered it. I'm getting this gear grinding kinda sound, especially in high gear, but it still makes it occasionally with everything in neutral and the parking brake set. I sent the dealer the audio and he didn't seem to worried, just said if it got worse to call them. ANY ideas what this could be? I only ran the PTO one time for about 30 seconds. The hard part is it's at my farm and I can't just go out back and look at it Thanks guys.

Don - have you checked the HST fluid level?

My BX probably "burped" shortly after I ran it, and needed a quart or 2 to top it off again.

Your tractor is much larger, and maybe/could be shorter yet?

DonDon, that's a dealers answer that I wouldn't accept. He, at the very least, needs to come to the machine and check it out.

Then I would suspect that the three point feed back rod is mis-adjusted. Try letting it down, from full up. Possible noise is coming from pump running against relief!

I'll check it all out this Saturday. I shot the dealer a email last night telling them I wasn't happy with that response and they need to have a mechanic at my place this saturday. If it's messed up at 1 1/2 hours, they can bring me a new tractor. Should get their attention
