Ok so I topped off the trans with new fluid and the shaft leaked the fluid and turned the dry clutch into a wet clutch. I tried to use break cleaner and cleaned up the excess oil but no luck. So I split the tractor ordered a new clutch kit. New clutch, throw out and pilot bearing replaced. While I was in there I also replaced the rear main seal. BUT now it won't go forward or reverse. The pto works and ran the bush hog but no matter what I try it still won't move under the power of the clutch. Yes I adjusted the clutch but nothing changed. So maybe a shift fork issue? But I tried all of the gears and reverse. Clutch seems to work. When you push the clutch in the pto stops. Also I see the shaft moving under the fill cap. So what would make it not go??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I have not retopped off the transfluid yet. I was testing it out first then I was going to clean the screen and new trans fluid.

Single disk clutch right?
If you have PTO then you should have drive.
Did you pull the shifter cover off?

Why did you originally replace the clutch?
Was it just because of the fluid leak?

I did the new clutch because the leak flooded the clutch with oil.
I have not pulled the shifter cover off yet.
And yes it's a single disc.

Make sure the PTO is still spinning with the tractor in gear.
If it stops spinning when the tractor is in gear, it's just sympathetic spinning and you have a clutch engagement issue.
If it is spinning, then something is a miss inside the transmission.

If it is running the mower I would think your clutch is working fine. Just a single stage clutch. Is your high low shift lever by chance in neutral?

You won't even believe it but the high low was in neutral grrrrr. There is no markings or lever on mine just a nub. First picture is my tractor with no levee and second pic is how it's supposed to look. I have no clue how it got into neutral.
But now the pto goes sometimes and then sometimes it won't go unless I take it out of gear and let off the clutch then it restarts and will go for a while then just randomly stops. Low on transfluid ?

Send me a message with an address and I'll send you a high low lever. Why did you put a clutch in your tractor to start with? These tractors have a one-way clutch on the PTO. It is at the back of the transmission inside. They do fail. Not very often.

Heck yeah that would be great. I replaced the clutch because of a old oil seal on the transmission shaft. I probably could have got it to go after I cleaned all the oil out and sprayed brake cleaner on the clutch. But I really needed to just go ahead and change the seal and if you do all that work splitting the tractor you might as well change the clutch. I'll pm you my address.
