On my Kubota L2350DT tractor, my tach keeps pegging out. At very low RPM, the tach seems to be correct, but as soon as I increase speed to run the backhoe, the tach pegs out. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is and a repair?
Sounds like the cable is dragging in the housing. You can take it loose at the front of the engine and turn the cable with your fingers and see how much drag there is. Might be able to put some graphite in and work it though the housing.
