Hello gents, I recently acquired a grey market kubota excavator, 2.8 ton, k028.

I was wondering if there is some cross reference sheets somewhere for parts, specs, etc

Cheers

I don't know of any cross over manuals or references.
If you get the engine model # I might be able to tell you possible crosses.
It will be stamped on the flat right next to the injection pump facing up.

Well just based on year, 1993.
The closest US /CA model would be the KH41BU-1, and with that it's twice the size.
So probably not much will cross.

Here is one site with a few diagrams, I would download them and save them.

Is there any specific parts your needing?

They started in 1993 the mark iii serie k , i believe it was replaced by the u30.
(I did saw a 2010 k-028 for sale unless it was a typo)
They still do smaller k
Really can't find anything, i manage to find the smaller k manuals in japanese but nothing on the k-028

I don't need a specific part as of now, i'm really trying to scavenge info.

Hi i'm going to give this an update/ bump before making another thread.

I'm looking for the hydraulics filters location. Obviously there is one down the tank, where should I look for the return one and other if theres any ?

On my right foot floor I got a dipstick that shows pretty good looking oil but that oil doesnt look like the nasty stuff in my tank, so got me thinking is there a separate hydraulic system for a reason ?

It's a k028, Zeph serie (s serie ?), it is a 3 ton excavator with the 4 cyl v1505.

maybe post pictures of your beastie ???
gennerally speaking hydraulic filters will be in the return line going TO the tank.
remove any/all access cover plates and look for them
they 'should' be accessible as they NEED to be changed every so often.....

Heres one with my kid doing the ditch for a friend and some. I added a thumb and putted about 50 h since some repairs. Rad, water pump, thermostat. Flushed the fuel system but need to redo it still some crud in the tank, I added an inline filter and I believe it introduce air in the system otherwise pretty happy with it

As far as the hydrolics filter(s) in the tank itself theres a rod with a loop so I guess theres one at the end of it, i'm just unsure if I have to flush tge system prior or If I can swap it "full"
