Well, it's not a Kubota, but it's orange. I've been wanting an antique tractor to play with and I found this 1955 Allis Chalmer's CA.

The motor has been rebuilt and has a new clutch, but there are lots of little odds and ends I am going to restore.

You can never go wrong with things from the past that are still up and running. Have fun and enjoy.

Now that looks like the farm tractor my Grandfather used, only his had a lot more rust. :D

His main tractor was an old CAT grader he used to maintain the county roads. Back then county roads were not paved like they are now.

Nice friend for your Kubota. Great project too, keep us informed on how it goes. I'd like to do some kind of project like that too.

Thanks everyone. And I agree with the orange chainsaws too! LOL.

Yes, I have always wanted an antique tractor just to take to the local fairs and tractor parades. I wasn't brand loyal to any, other than I grew up around the corner from a Massey Ferguson dealer so I have a soft spot for those.

But this one came from a local friend, so I didn't have to have it transported or shipped.

I am just going to take my time and go through it a piece at a time. Then when it is all good, then I will blast and paint it.

I'm starting to search for a set of those rear spin-out rims. Mine have some pretty bad scaling rust blisters around the valve stems. Likely not worth trying to weld patches on them.
That was a pretty cool feature for back in the 50's....to change your tread width.

Jajiu...what make is the little tractor? Looks in really nice shape. Loader too!

I have a 1982 MTD 824 Classic also that I will never part with. I think I am going to paint it orange too, LOL (since it's already been painted a different colour anyway.) Plus my friend went and put flame decals and an OCC emblem on it, LOL.

It's a Wheel Horse. I have the decals for it and just need to get some time to clean it and put them on. I just wanted something small to play with, I'm a little limited for space so a larger toy is out of the question, as much as I would like to have something like you got.

I just saw these at an antique tractor show and parade I was at in Michigan last weekend.

They have antique snowmobiles inside and saw these Wheel Horse tractor and snowmobile.

Only got the two pics as my camera was full at it's limit, LOL.
