i bought a B7100 that came with this tiller and i have a few questions .

#1 does anyone know where i might find an owners manual that i could download off of the net ?

#2 where the two pins on the tiller connect to the three point , one pin was pointing towards the outside of the tiller and the other was pointing towards the inside . i took the one that was pointing towards the inside and reversed it so that both are pointing out now. is this ok or should i have left it alone ?

#3 on the left side of the pic you will notice some aluminum foil on top of the tiller . there is a hole there which i'm guessing is a filler hole . if so what type of fluid do i put in there ?

#4 the tiller had sat in a sandy area uncovered with no plug over that filler hole for several years . do you think it would be a good idea to take the side cover off and make sure that it is clean inside before filling and is that gasket available in case i mess it up ?

botaman .

I would take that plate off and inspect regardless of the plug being opened or closed all these years. My guess is, that if it were open the rain, you will have a mess in there.

But, the purpose of my post is to say that is not a bad idea to get a set of gasket paper to make your own gaskets when needed. They're cheap, and easy to cut with a utility knife. Here's one example, go to the McMaster website and search this part # 9304K42 about $20 for 12 sq feet of assorted thickness gasket paper.

Also on ebay right now is the manual for your tiller. Buy it now for $12 bucks and 1.60 for freight.

thanks greg for the links. i had to go into the hospital yesterday , but i'll go see if they still have that manual .

thanks vick for the information on the oil . i don't know how to adjust the chain that your talking about , but hopfully it will be in the manual .

as for the parts being at my local dealer , well they have'nt been alot of help in the past , but i guess it won't hurt to try them again .

Messick's is great. I place an order at 1:00pm on the website and I have it the next day. (PA to NY is 1 day UPS ground)

I ordered a new steering wheel which they did not stock and I had in 3 days.

No Problem. Glad I remembered seeing it on ebay. I scour ebay 1x every single day to look for a bargain part for my tractor. If if it is one I might not need for a while, there's nothing wrong with having a box of back up parts that you got dirt cheap.
