Hi Everyone. I am new to the forum. Had a quick look around and it looks great.

I have a problem that I am hoping someone can shed some light on for me...

I was looking into fixing the brakes on my F2100. So, I took the cover off the brake shoe and drum area. Much to my surprise, about a cup of oil came out. Unless this is something different than I have seen before, I don't think there should be oil in there with the shoes..could be wrong though. That's why I thought I would ask here and see if anyone is familiar with the brake system on the F2100.

Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dave

Yep you have an oil seal out.

Pull the brake drum, pull a seal, pull the sleeve and replace the sleeve and the oil seal.

Replace the sealing rings on the input linkage shaft and the gaskets.

If the outer parts are not sealed properly the interior will leak too.

Thanks Wolfman
I have read a lot yesterday about some Kubota equipment having a wet brake system. I was hoping this was one of them but doesn't sound that way.
I will have to find a diagram with part numbers to make sure the parts are available before I go tearing it apart. Hopefully they are available and it's not a real big job.
Have you done this before ?
