Does anybody happen to have a replacement instrument cluster for the Kubota BX? I've had no success repairing mine without a schematic and I'm not looking to pay $400 for a new one.
I have a BX1870. The entire cluster went out awhile back, except for the turn signal indicators. I've opened it up and found a fair amount of surface corrosion, but nothing crazy. I repaired a few traces and a couple vias with no change. I know they're terrible with their water sealing and I think there may have even been a recall on them. I couldn't find a schematic anywhere, so I'll have to see if that diagram helps.curious as to what's wrong/ what's right with it
which 'BX' ?
I have a BX23S.... K287162502 ... is over $700 CDN FYI.
also in 'electrical' sub forum, #13 post has clear wiring diagram !
What model is your BX????????Does anybody happen to have a replacement instrument cluster for the Kubota BX? I've had no success repairing mine without a schematic and I'm not looking to pay $400 for a new one.
Please post a few good pictures ,both sides of course.Having designed/built PCBs for decades, my eyes might see something your have missed. The usual suspect areas are between traces at connectors, under DIP packages, Zebra connectors.I have a BX1870. The entire cluster went out awhile back, except for the turn signal indicators. I'll get some pictures next week. I've rebuilt the damaged traces that I can find, and reflowed the ICs. Nothing functions except for the turn signal LEDs. I'm getting various voltages at the wiring harness, but without a schematic, I don't know what voltages should be where. I've checked for heat with a thermal cam, but nothing seems apparent. Please post a few good pictures ,both sides of course.Having designed/built PCBs for decades, my eyes might see something your have missed. When powered does the LCD function ? gauges 'self test' ?
Without the model number of your tractor, you are unlikely to get a schematic.I'm getting various voltages at the wiring harness, but without a schematic, I don't know what voltages should be where.
I mentioned previously it's a BX1870. I know they recycle the gauges for various models also.Without the model number of your tractor, you are unlikely to get a schematic.
I do not know how I missed that as I reread twice.I mentioned previously it's a BX1870. I know they recycle the gauges for various models also.
Haha not a problem. So the turn signals are the only things that aren't fed through the CPU. I was afraid that CPU might've been dead. I think I did a quick search before for a replacement IC without success, but I'll have to look again. Hopefully it's not a programmable chip.
