I bought a kubota bt602, and it has both hydraulic return lines connected together ? I want to hook it up to a Massey Ferguson 245. How would I hook up the kubota bt602 to a Massey Ferguson 245. It has a frame made to hook up to the 3-point hitch. Just not three lines for the hydraulics. It does have a Dual Hydraulic Remote Valve Kit on the tractor.

The control valve on the BT602 is equipped for power beyond = 3 hoses.

Does the 245 have factory remotes? Can you post a picture of the valve?

OK. Let me start by saying I am not familiar with the hydraulic system on the MF 245.

That said I believe that valve uses the implement pump and the 3pt supply has to be diverted to the valve. Thats the diverter lever in the side of the valve. You can select the aux valve or the 3pt but not both at the same time.

To use the aux valve to supply the hoe you would connect the BH supply hose to one rear outlet and BOTH return hoses to the other (tee them together). Then put the diverter in the AUX position and use a bungee or something similar to hold the aux lever in the open position.

I was thinking I could hook up a Y-splitter and run both lines to the return. But I think one of the lines is under higher pressure than the other. Not sure what that would do?

Hooked up as I described the BH outlets are at ZERO (tank) pressure. I believe you can convert the BH valve to a single tank return but I dont know the exact specifics.

So that's maybe why they have those two connected together. I was afraid it would cause a back pressure on the backhoe. That would make sense. The Massy has a way to have the hydraulic on all the time. It's on the lever that lifts the 3-point hitch. You pull it over and go all the way up or back.

They are connected together for convenience when the hoe is off the tractor. If you tried to do that on the tractor you would deadhead your pump.

All you need is a tee to merge them into a single hose. Or convert the BH valve to single outlet tank return.

OK, I think all I need is to y-connect those two lines into one and run it to the return. That is what I was thinking. Just never hook up a 3-line connection. Thanks for the help.

You are welcome.

Make sure that both return hoses are always connected to tank when the hoe is being fed by the AUX valve. If you deadhead the BH returns your BH valve will develop some very expensive leaks.
