Kubota bh77 backhoe hydraulic thumb

I'm pretty sure Kubota didn't offer a hydraulic thumb on the '77, so you're on your own.
You'll need a cylinder, mounting bracket, hoses (1/4" is fine), and valve.
I'd probably make a cardboard or wood template to determine the stroke required, then use the cylinder dimensions to shape and mount the bracket. Cylinder bore should match the bucket's.
Hoses - you can use all rubber or combination of steel and rubber. Is there room at the boom-to-frame joint for 2 more hoses?
Valve - you can add a manual or solenoid valve. Either one must be piped before the existing valve in the PB circuit to prevent expensive damage to the valve. I would use a solenoid valve with a rocker switch mounted on one of the joysticks, but this will require a power connection to the tractor.

I would use a generic cylinder and canibalize a cheap third function kit.

As per @PoTreeBoy you will have to cobble the cylinder onto the thumb. Plumb the valve AHEAD of the backhoe valve.
