As part of my cab project I decided to give remote start a go. I'm using 2 wireless relay boxes from china, about $8 each, plus a 30a relay for the glow plugs. One relay bypasses the key switch to ON, the other is a 2 relay system which bypasses the starter and activates the starter solenoid and activates the glow plugs.

Here's a video:

I would just install a remote starter.mind you i did them as s side job for about 20 years.started installing them when the inventor of command start still owned the company.

The price of the real thing is a bit higher, especially one that can do glow plugs. Having never installed something like that, I wanted to go basic because if it goes wrong I have to fix it.
