A neighbor has a Kubota B7200 Gear 4 wheel drive tractor with a 630 loader that he is wanting to sale. The tractor's exterior is rough but does crank and operate. It appears someone changed out the steering shaft at one point with a longer shaft. The clutch appears to need adjustment. Just wondering if these were good tractors and can you still purchase parts easily? Was thinking of purchasing and restoring over several months. Any information is appreciated.

Thanks

Yes very good model, and most mechanical parts should be available. ;)

My L245 looked worse that that. I hammered out most of the dents, cleaned up the rust, and hit it with a coat of paint; neighbor thought I bought a new tractor!

Trae glad to see your tractor B7200 with FEL, I just bought one same thing a few weeks back, am in the process of painting it now as weather permits . The problem I am having with mine is it pops out of second gear unless you hold it in, also has a little shutter when pulling out from a dead stop. would be interested if any one has any suggestions about these problems. may have to split tractor and put in a new clutch kit with a new throw out bearing, also may have to tear into tran. and replace the second gear. Happy tractoring

If it was my neighbor selling this tractor I'd be all over it to get it at the right price. Had a B7200HSD - really good, solid little tractor.

Don't worry about the dents and dings - instead, be happy that you've got good solid tin to hammer out flat (unlike the newer tractors).

One thing to look out for is the decompression cable as they get sticky and you can no longer pull it out to decompress for an easier start. On mine it was actually the pivot point at the aft end of the cylinder head that had become sticky through lack of use. The tractor will start without decompression (even in the winter, with pre-heat).
