Have a kubota b7100 with a trencher attachment and creeper gear box. Wanting to remove trencher and use 3 point lift but can't get the lift to work

What is it NOT doing? Does it go up and not come down or not move at all?

I don’t know much about the tractor but you can get a workshop manual at Kubotabooks dot com.

It will have some troubleshooting steps in it.

Does the trencher work? Do you know if the hydraulics are working properly or not?
You might want to provide a bit more history on it to help us understand what is going on. I know it doesn’t work but did it ever work and just stopped? Have you used the three point in the past? Just give a little history please.

I would make sure that the hydraulic fluid is full and it is getting to the pump. If you can check that there is flow out of the pump that would be great. If you can check that the system pressure is correct that would be best.

I just bought the tractor everything works as of the trencher and front blade. I was going to take all that off and use the 2 point for a auger. It has a creeper gear box on the trans for the trencher I just can't get the 3 point to work even when I switch the lever over not sure the lever is messed up or if I need to do something else to get it to work

Ok thank you for the information. What all you have said makes sense and points to something in the hydraulic system not allowing the three point to work. That is probably something intentional to protect the trencher from damage if it was moved by the three point hitch.

I have never seen a trencher or creeper gear in person so don’t know much about them either.

@TheOldHokie and @North Idaho Wolfman and @Mountainman are good at solving hydraulic issues so hopefully they will comment since I have tagged them into this thread.

I would like to see more pictures of all the hydraulic piping and how they are connected to the tractor. There should be a suction line and hydraulic pump on the tractor and then piping at the creeper gear and trencher. Please take and post pictures of the tractor from a couple of feet back so the hydraulic lines are showing. Take some closer pictures of anything that is a connection point or anything like a diverter valve or handle that is involved with the operation of the hydraulics. It may be difficult back where it is inside the fenders but do the best you can.

I imagine this problem will be resolved fairly easily. I assume you have no manual for the creeper gear or trencher that you can post instructions from?

What handles have you tried to move?

Tried turning it 1/4 and full turn does the same thing wont work the 3 point and makes a sqealing sound.
That squealing is (probably) the relief valve for the hydraulic system.

Is it when you move the lever to raise the three point arms or is it constant? Is it only with the lever turned the quarter turn or anytime the tractor is running?

(if you would provide more specifics on what you do and what happens it could speed this up)

Do you need the three point hitch to remove the trencher or can you remove it without it?

I expect that the three point feed back rod is missing, bent or needs adjustment. So look at it (which is connected to the short upper three point arms) and see what it looks like and if it is doi what it should be doing.

There is a whole lot of hydraulics routed all over the place.

What works, what doesn't?

Everything works for the trencher and blad for they have there own levers. The 3 point lift arms have been removed and have caps over the splines. The lever for the 3 point system has to be pushed towards the back of tractor for the trencher lever to work. If I turn the knob 1/4 or 180 nothing works and it makes a squealing sound if I move the 3 point lever foward and backwards.

Does the trencher have to be removed from the tractor first and then the rock shaft (short) arms and feedback rod installed for the 3PH to start working when that lever is in the proper position?

@drodgers435
Do you have the physical parts (short upper arm, longer lower arm, vertical rods, feed back rod) to install onto the tractor?

It sounds like the three point is all the way at the top, hench why it dead heads when you try it.
The rockshaft (splined ends out of the case will only move when the rest of the three point system is in place because it only moves down via gravity.
The piston that controls the three point is a one way piston, only gets hydraulic power on the up motion.

Yes the lift arms upper and lower and lift rods needs to be installed for it to work.
The "feed back" on this models system is a lift cancel system, and it's not required for the three point to work properly.
