I have an animal resuce in NC. My Kuboata 725z zero turn stopped working on the right side. The left side works fine. But when I try to move the mower, the right lever will not do anything. I looked under mower and noticed hydralic fluid (i believe) coming out at gasket area.

I went back to where it was parked in barn last night, and see a small area that come be from the mower, like a small leak was going on, from sitting in the barn that night.

I cut the back yard, where the dogs are and moved to the right pastrue for the horses and headed back to the house and it stopped on me.

So I am reaching out to anyone on what I need to do. I operate my animal rescue and really do not need a huge repair bill, but really need the mower to work to keep pasture for the rescue horses.

I briefly spoke to Lake Norman tractor and they were kinda tight lipped except for when they kept telling me to bring it in. I did finally get a price on hrdralic pump for that side $2200.00.

I pressure washed the area to see if any damage happened somehow because, I did not hit anything and then sent the pictures to our shop mechanic. He said it looked like it was coming from the gasket.

Our mechanic at work that repairs our tractors and lawnmowers said he would repair it for me if I could find the information on maybe a rebuild hydralic kit for the mower (if that is the peroblem) How do I know what the issue is?

It is 8 years of age. No problems before now.

I am sorry you are faced with this issue.
The model number you are providing seems unlike other Kubota zero turns.
Could you please double check that as if it is wrong no one will find documents that might help

Check your fluid reservoir first (especially if you are hearing a distinct whining sound). Next determine if you have 'Wheel Motors' or Transaxles at each side.

There should be repair kits available for either.

Not sure what brand the transmission is on your mower, but the hydrogear on my BadBoy was leaking at the bottom joint and I just replaced the o-ring. Once I removed the bottom cover, I took the o-ring to my local hardware store and was able to find a replacement for less than $1.

Have you checked the oil level in the transmission reservoir?
I did, I remember when I purchased the zero turn. I did not know all about it becuase they just dropped it off. I called about the 2 reservors. They said that you would see like an oil sheen but it is an overflow reservoir.

There should be approx 1/4" oil in the reservoirs, no more. If they are over filled, they will over flow when the oil gets to operating temperature on a hot day.

on the front bottom side of each transmission is a lever. If you move the levers, they will allow one to manually push/tow the equipment, such as if the battery went dead or if you had to pull it out of a ditch. If one of those levers is turned "off", that transmission is effectively in neutral and won't pull the machine. So, if I had it in front of me, I'd check both levers and make sure they're both in the correct position before going further.

Then check fluid level. If fluid is low, and you found oil on the ground, one transmission has a leak. If that's the case, I would imagine that there is internal damage to that transmission and it would need to be rebuilt or replaced. I always replaced them, as parts for them aren't super easy to come by. They're made by Parker (not hydrogear) and Kubota only sells a few pieces for them.
