Looking for opinions. I'm looking at possibly buying a Kubota 3901 or a Kubota 4060. The 3901 is new and the 4060 is used with 211 hrs . They are identically priced. $23,500. I will be using it for moving dirt , clearing bush honeysuckle, two bottom plowing, bushing hogging and moving rock 8"-10" in diameter. I'll be trailering it on a 16' trailer pulled by a F250 V10. Which tractor would you choose.
Thanks for the help!!!

The 4060 hands down. The hours are practically negligible unless you can find some evidence that it has been abused. There should still be some warranty on the engine emissions system (5 yrs). The Grand L's have a bunch of features that I didn't think I cared about, but am very grateful for. One is the Intellipanel screen that will tell you when the tractor is getting ready for a regen cycle so you can plan your workload better. They are quieter to run. I am needless to say biased, but I also have a B series tractor, and if they made a mini 3560 I'd have it in a heartbeat instead.

Cash or financed deal? Your 16 foot trailer will hold the tractor and loader, but what happens if you want to take along a mower or rotary cutter.

The 4060 will be heavier by quite a bit which will help with the digging and plowing.
It will have stronger hydraulics for the rock moving.
It will have a bit more PTO power for the bush hogging.
No idea from what you posted but if the 4060 is HST transmission then i think you will like the two speed HI / LO change at the flip of a lever on it for what ever gear your in.

One down side it it is heavier, so make sure your trailor is good for the weight. If its not i would swap out trailors and still go with the 4060 :)
The truck you list should be fine for the 4060.

Needless to say i also suggest the 4060

4060 is a Grand L. Itll rip the guts out of the L3901. Stronger loader, 3pt, and extra features that are nice to have.

4060. I have one and it is leaps and bounds better than a close neighbors 3901. I find myself helping him with some jobs. he mows 50 acres with his brush hog, I come over to help, I find I bog down much less while moving much faster and a bit more comfortable I might add. the 4060 has so many features that aren't automatic on others.

There is a used L3560 at Alderman's that has a cab. It is not an impossible distance from Illinois to midMichigan. Not as good a deal as the 4060, but might be worth considering. I was drooling over things with cabs a few weeks ago and so noticed it.
