Hello Kubota friends:

Time to do my 50 hour service on new 3901HST

Where is the best source to determine the Kubota part numbers for the correct filters?

If this information is in the owners manual I do not see it,

Thanks for the help.

Your dealer
Yep just head to the dealer. I just told them my RTV-X900 was due for it's 200hr. They will get everything you need and load it up for you too. In my case it was two hst filters, and 7.5 gallons of sudt2, too easy.

Messicks and Coleman are good resources.
But if you have a dealer nearby I’ve found they’re about the same $$, and no shipping.
It is also an opportunity to meet/greet the staff if you do have an issue later.
I keep a paper in my wallet that has ALL model, serial and filter numbers for the tractor and all attachments in case I need to search a P/N at the counter.

I bought mine off eBay 120.00 delivered to your door. Every filter except inner air filter. Not sure which dealer it was but they are OEM Kubota.

I get mine from NAPA.
This is another often-debated subject.

I choose to use Kubota-branded filters. Others do not, am I'm fine with that.

However, we have a couple members here that service tractors for a living, and some issues can be attributed to aftermarket filters, fluids, or both.....

I understand they are not made by Kubota.

I have compared FRAM to Kubota oil filters with each in my hands.

The FRAM stays on the shelf....in an emergency situation it will work..

Your tractor; do as you wish.

Excellent advice........sometimes paying a little more, if that - and get something that will not let you down later is always the better choice!

I'd recommend using OEM HST filter, the rest of them is like any "which oil" debate, but don't skimp on the HST.

In this case being penny wise and pound foolish is not something you want with your tractor unless you are going get rid of it

What type of filters to use, oil, grease, etc. can be a "HOT" topic and each side OEM users and non OEM users have reasons why and why not.

For me OEM fluids and filters just makes sense in most cases and my once a year oil change and every 400 hr. hydro change I do the following.

Oil filter - Kubota
Air Filter - Wicks
Hydro Filter - Kubota
Hydro Oil - SUDT2
Front Axle - SUDT2
Oil - Amsoil Heavy Duty Diesel
Grease - Lucas Red & Tacky

This combination works for me and my tractor seems to like it. My is gear drive so I could go with SUDT but I like synthetic oils.

Good luck in your decision.
