You guys have been great at solving my problems with this tractor. I was using it today dragging some dirt. It has always had a slight whine when moving . Today I used it longer than I have sense I've had it. Prob 30-45min non stop. It started to whine louder and then stopped moving. I sat at idle for a few seconds and with kind jerk and then move but still loud. Let it sit for a hour or so and everything was ok for about the amount of time then it started acting up again. I used it with a post hole digger last week for about 10 post and it worked fine but I wasn't traveling much. I have noticed that the power steering seems fail for a few seconds from time to time but never stopped moving. The fel a little jumpy at times but will lift the tractor up with no problem .Possible dirty screens ? Thanks for your help.

Always start with the basics - check the fluid levels. We've all done dumb a time or two!

Id definitely change fluid filter and clean the suction screens to start with. May be sucking air also. There is a rubber tube on each suction line that can deteriorate and cause air to get in. Most problematic one is the hardest one to get to left side suction line going to bottom of hst unit

Sounds like it's getting hot. How long since the last fluid change?
I bought it about a year ago. Prior to that it had been setting in a barn. I put new rings , injectors, fuel pump and filter. Changed the hydro filter on top but not the fluid or screen. fluid looked good but guess I should have changed it. Anyway I will do all of that today and check the tubes and let you know . Thanks for your help so far.

Both screens were very dirty the oil was very dirty even clumps in it as it was draining. No metal shavings thankfully . new filter and oil and it actually has a lot of pep now. I haven't ran it long and under load yet but will tomorrow but I really feel that was the problem. Cant thank you enough for you advise. Im and AC/Heating contractor if ever you have a question...lol be more than happy to help. Thanks again....

Awesome news. Never judge oil by looks. Oil does break down over time and look clean but not function like it should. Hopefully that fixed your problem.
