Well curious update. Did another combustion gas test. Constant streams of bubbles without me even using the bulb. Nice, BLUE bubbles. Never could get the fluid to turn yellow/green which indicates exhaust gases in coolant. continues to get hot then cool. ZERO steam outta tail. I am convinced it is a head gasket but please give me a proper sign. there's no other way for air to enter the coolant system? Well, time to get my hands greasy.

Is it turbocharged or something odd like that? If there is some sort of intercooler could that introduce air into the radiator?

Trying to posit some explanation for no combustion gas in test.

I'm with you. There is a slight oil residue in the coolant. No turbo or other. Another funny: the bubbles in the coolant are pretty constant at idle and reduce when rev'd up. Personally, I think it's possessed. I'm calling a priest for an exorcism. Then I'll tear into it.

going out on a limb, as no more straw bales so...

maybe tighten the all rad hoses ?

Have seen bubbles in swimming pool and water pump systems due to not tight enough hose clamps.
