Had bad wheel bearings on my front left wheel so I pulled them out and replaced them today. While the front end was off the ground I noticed a lot of vertical play where the knuckle meets the main axle case. I've looked through the parts catalogs and my question before I dive into is, Is there a thrust or beveled bearing on the top or bottom of the shaft? The catalog I looked at simply said 'bearing' with no further description. Has anyone else had this problem? And secondly, Can I get the shaft out without disassembling the entire knuckle assembly?
