Well since we Mom isnt going to come back home to live we have been cleaning this up around the house. And about 55 years ago my Great Aunt gave me a desk, for school work to put in my room. Since my Great Great Grand father was a cabinet maker he built it, long before I was around. Anyway when I got it home I found a letter opener that had a small switch blade for the handle. Of course Mother in her infinite wisdom removed it from my position so that " I WOULDNT TAKE IT TO SCHOOL AND GET IN TO A KNIFE FIGHT" yeah right Mom. So I just figured she tossed it in the trash long ago, I often wondered about it, and last week I found it stuck in a drawer. Now after being closed for well at least 55 years the spring is shot so it wont open but still swings out and locks in place. The name on the knife is Flylock made in Conn and from what I can find out about 1918 to mid 20's. No its not worth anything, other than being a curio. But I would like to get the knife part fixed, WHY? Damned if I know, just because I guess.
So does any know about these things have one or seen any?
