yeesh, look at a Ford 9N or 2N, brakes are on the left next to the clutch pedal !

My MX has brakes on the left and treadle peddle on the right.
For me, it is not about where the brakes are, it is all about the fact that the tractor actually has the dreaded treadle peddle.
I very nearly bought a JD 110 TLB instead, but it had it's own potentially serious issue (Transmission case cracking history).

I like the treadle pedal on my LX2610. The one on my lawn mower is much smaller and does give me some usability issues when I am wearing heavy boots, but the one on the Kubota is large enough that it is comfortable regardless of what boots I am wearing.

I’m continually baffled by the treadle pedal debate.

I’m not necessarily a fan but, I simply hook the pedal with my boot and lift for reverse, it’s actually easier and quicker than two pedals. It’s totally fine!

I’ve had a JD with two pedals, my Cub Cadet has two pedals…and that’s wonderful…but, I fail to understand why folks have such an issue with the awkward treadle pedal design.

Now, the L2501 brake pedals on the right hand side above the treadle pedal? That’s a lame design. I’m happy to see that disaster go away with the upcoming L3302/L3902.

Interesting reference to the 9N above. Started out driving a 9N (which my father still has and we still use once in a while) when I was about 8. I was a big (read fat) kid so I could jump off the seat, land on the clutch and brakes to get it stopped, therefore I was ready to pull trailers, skid logs, and disc fields. If the left brake and clutch were adjusted correctly, you could step on both at the same time (1/2 boot on each) and disengage the clutch just as the brake engaged. No loader, no front weight rack. Brake steered that thing all over everywhere doing all sorts of stuff for 40 years. On the hills I grew up on, brake steering was just a required part of running the machine.

When I bought the L4701 ability to brake steer was a requirement. Can’t imagine running a small tractor without that capability. With loader on and 4WD engaged, haven’t needed it except a couple times on sloppy mud, wet clay slopes. Mowing with the loader off (tight spaces) in 2WD (minimizing turf damage) brake steering comes in handy for things like turning up slopes, out of ditches, etc. Unless I’m in high range roading it, the brakes are unlocked and if it doesn’t want to turn, the brakes will help it.

Have run a smattering of tractors and farm/construction type equipment built from the 40’s forward. The controls have been all over everywhere; some more intuitive than others. Apparently the treadle is unpopular with a small enough % of operators they don’t see a benefit to changing. Personally, I like it. Heck of a lot better than the clutch and stick with no reverser (like the old 9N).

........The awkward design!
But….it’s totally manageable and arguably less cumbersome than a two pedal design.

Man there’s a guy that trolls on here that went the other way and just loves to stir up the pot on why his Kioti was the better choice. Hope he doesn’t see this post. Lol

I was going to say where did the OP find a L4760 then noticed it was from 2018. I have a B2410, same issue with the split brakes being on the go pedal side. That was the one and only thing JD did better. As for the go pedals, it's just what you are used to. I have issues using the split pedals on the X500, wind u either hitting both, going backwards instead of forwards, or the other way around. Sometiems I catch myself trying to use my heel to go backwards and there isn't anything back there

I actually like the treadle, but on the B2410 its not one large pedal, but two pads linked under the floor. Push on the front pedal to go forward, heel on the rear pedal to go backwards. I have not tried the full pedal yet, so leaving the verdict open on that for when I ever get the L4060HSTC I ordered.

Whoever came up with that idea should have been fired years ago!
And.......still Kubota sticks with it!
If I could remove/reconfigure mine I most certainly would!
My old new holland had two hst pedals, I hated it, I like the treedle much better. 4000+ hours on the NH, 1000+ on the Kubota so far. I am really glad they stick with it.
