I considered the King Kutter XB which is the combination middle buster/subsoiler. It is not as heavy as the King Kutter MB or the Sub-soiler SUB which are separate units. Are both the MB and SUB units the same dimensions? If so I could remove the MB plow and replace with a homemade sub-soiler blade. Thanks for the help.

If you look at the pictures close enough you'll get your answer, the MB is shorter than the SUB. ;)

Wolfman, I thought the same thing. I have emailed the King Kutter to see if they can send me detailed dimensions.

Probably more trouble than it's worth. You'll likely have to cut off the plow bolts and install new ones each time you switch unless it doesn't see much use between swaps.

Might keep an eye on CL. You'll find them there, then you won't have to modify either on.

I just picked up a sub-soiler from CL. Brand new, still had the bar code on it. Never been in dirt, $100. It's too cold out or I would go get a picture for you!
